Hrm well its kinda hard to be your own biographer but ill
give it a shot maybe i can get my mom to pen a few lines
for the cause im sure she would have something to say
as to whom i am or atleast where i came from. so lets see
i guess we will start in the begining I was born to
Harold Sanford Jr Rose Marie (Gregg) Sanford
on May 30 1977 which was Memoral Day
I grew up in Small Town called Mount Holly, NC on a dead
end street called Alsace St in a little 2 br house the street
was a peninsula with dutchmens creek on 3 sides of it heres
a picture of dutchmens creek from my backyard

I grew up on the river dutchmens creek let out into the
catawaba river.
everyday was filled with adventures with all the kids
my 2 siblings on that little deadend street
in the middle of nowhere =-)~
kinda Mark Twain’ish no?
(editors note: More To Come Soon)
So Anyways i had the idea to let my friends write about me
giving them each an unedited paragraph to spill there guts about me.
i figure this will be a great success or a total failure lol
John Riley’s Thoughts
Here is a man out there from Gastonia, North Carolina, named
Eli Sanford. Back in like 1998, I had shut-down my dial-up BBS,
and couldn’t figure out how to get it on the web via telnet.
I actually hated google.com’s search engine at the time and
used Yahoo! to look up SLASHER BBS. My BBS, SLASHER BBS,
had a webpage since like 1995, and I wanted to see if the site
was still up in 1998, since I hadn’t updated the page in like 2 years.
Among the search results was a listing for Skulls and Crossbones BBS
It was a telnet BBS, system up from 9:00 PM to like 9:00 AM
United States Eastern standard time.
So, I book marked the page about the link and decided to give it a
look after I finally updated my BBS webpage to let people know that
I shut-down the BBS. Upon the first few logins into
Skulls and Crossbones BBS, I thought to myself,
This BBS sucks, but the SysOp, has a dial-up BBS
connected to the Internet via Telnet. Ill ask him how he did it,
and setup my BBS the same way. Then go about my business.?
Reason for going about my business?
Well, at one time, BBS SysOps controlled 98% of the Online World.
Most of them were also total ass-holes.
Why? Well, simple, they were like gods in the Internet/Online world.
They had email, Instant Messaging, and such features,
long before the world had a damn internet.
I asked Eli for help getting my BBS setup.
Eli was more then eager to help me. Then poof! I vanished half-way
through the setup of my BBS. Why because I lost my phone connection.
Then in April of 1999, I moved to Mississippi and had my phone service
restored and jumped on the DSL crave. So, being online fulltime, I called
Eli’s BBS on my nights off. Yes, I was working 3rd shift back then.
Once again, Eli and I went to work getting a ProBoard BBS setup via telnet.
Eli explained to me there were two different virtual modem programs that
I could use, COM/IP or NetModem. COM/IP at the time was $50.00 and
NetModem was $20.00. I could never get NetModem v1.0 working,
so I quickly downloaded COM/IP, and realized I setup ProBoard like
I would if I wanted a DIAL-UP Node, and POOF!
It was done. I declared myself, with the help of Eli to have the
first Telnet ProBoard BBS system (which I later found out I was wrong).
Eli and I continued to talk and have become very good friends.
Eli is a great listener when people have problems. Eli is very supportive
of the WWiV BBS package and will support it until he chokes his last
breath which will be, WWiV rulez!
Eli got me into the IRC scene full time. I was already in a small IRC ring,
because of boss of mine from a local computer repair shop in Verona,
Mississippi. But it was Eli who introduced me to BBS side of IRC.
Showing me BBSNet.org and Oddnet.net, where I met past,
present, and future BBS SysOps. Eli and his friends on Oddnet.net,
an IRC Server, he founded, welcomed me and my havoc ways.
In the summer of 2003, Eli started Disbanded Ethics,
an Internet Radio Station, which was basically going to have
DJ hosted shows and replace his current, S&C Radio,
Internet Radio station. Well, after a month, Disbanded Ethics flopped.
Eli got out of the Internet Radio business near the end of 2003,
and I moved in with my baby-momma around the first of January in 2004.
Big mistake! 4 months of hell, on my part.
When I moved back into my own apartment, I quickly got basic
cable and cable internet hooked up at the apartment.
By then Eli was also on cable internet, and things
were looking up for us. Then in the summer of 2004, slowly GameMaster,
a so called friend to Eli, weaseled Eli out of all his power on Oddnet.net
and kicked Eli, the man who founded the freaking network out.
I continued to support Eli in everything, because he and I had founded
Osprey Networks, another attempt at Internet Radio Broadcasting.
When Oddnet.net’s new power-hungry son-of-a-bitch Ops,
Dev and GameMaster removed Eli and all his power,
Eli turned to Osprey Networks for an IRC home
as well as Internet Radio. Through a new power tool, TeamSpeak2,
Eli and I were doing voice chats and Radio shows, and hanging out
with nearly 80% of the users of Oddnet.net who also believed Eli
was taken out unfairly.
Now Eli is a our rock at Osprey Networks, and with a little
crying and begging from me Osprey Networks, has grown strong.
Eli is the backbone of Osprey Networks. Without him
literally 99% of Osprey would never have been.
Thanks,
John Riley

Willam Crisel’s Thoughts
What to say about eli, well, first of all I will say he is no fabio,
but then again no one is. when first talking to him, you get
the impression he is just another person living day to day
doing what he has to do just like the rest of us, but when
you get to know him, you can see that there is
much more to just how he sounds, he is insightfull, intellegent,
and seems to know what to say at the right times,
he can be humorus in a cool and calm
collective way aswell, I wouldn’t say his jokes are corny,
even if they seem that way sometimes because he points
out the obvious and you would get a laugh out of it, but deep
inside he is a calm kind indiviudual whom doesn’t seem to have
a mean bone about him even if he rants about certain things
and people and says they all should die or the likes,
though he really doesn’t mean it. What is best about eli,
is that you can really talk to him, and he doesn’t disect your
problems only to give you simple commene scence
awenseres, he actualy listens and discusses them with you,
he makes it apoint to try and feel how you feel, look threw
all the points talking back to you so that you can get
things out of your system no matter how many times
you talk to him over the same things.
if there was one person I could truely call my friend it would be him,
because most arn’t upfront with whom they are they just put on
masks to impress, he does none of this.

Kevin Melillo’s Thoughts
Eli Sanford is dedicated to whatever he undertakes, to the point of insanity.
Knowing this, you wonder why the hell ANYONE would have giving him a WWIV project
way back when it was starting. But some bastard had a sick sense of humor,
now Eli is trapped in WWIV hell forever.
Not only does he focus on WWIV. He focuses on more projects at one time that ANY man
has a right to. WWIV, Shoutcast, IRC Servers, Internet TV Networks, Internet Radio Network, and alot of other useless crap he should substitute a job for.
Eli isn’t all bad though… catch him on his internet radio show, or during one of his
WWIV rants, and man, just sit back and enjoy the ride.
He may be wrong 85% of the time, but he sure is fun to listen to.

To Whom it May Concern:
It is my great pleasure to say that I am able to interact with the Reverend Eli Sanford.
A great christian, and a humanitarian with a heart of gold. He looks at new ideas and possibilities
with the intent of making greater ideas and possibilities. From the first time we met, I felt comfortable,
for he is able to readily accept and embrace diversity in all things. I dont know if a couple can experience
true love via long distance, but I know that our friendship
just works, in that I can tell Eli anything without fear of hate or repercussion. Osprey Networks has been
my home on the web since late 2003, and I’m happy to be a part of the family. Thanks to Eli.
Sincerely,

Ken Foglietti’s Thoughts
Reverend Eli Sanford is someone that you can go to if you need help with something,
everywhere from computer-related questions to questions about life.
Whenever he gets angry about something, he seems to be able to control it,
and never really seems angry at all.
He’s helped me in many ways, especially when it comes to computers,
because I’ve asked him quite a few. Also, he’s been willing to help me help
someone else, and that person is very grateful for Eli’s willingness.
Eli also needs help from other people as well, from time-to-time, and asks
nicely, even when the person is slacking in their help.
He asked me to write something for him a while back and I kept slacking,
but I eventually finished it later and he didn’t seem to be perturbed
by my slack thereof, but was waiting for it patiently.
